Looking Ahead… We see before us a vast, God-given opportunity for growth in the church in all its dimensions and an impact on our community and county. The most important site for evangelism is the life of the individual Christian who is committed to growing spiritually, praying for their family, friends and neighbors, loving people inside and outside the church, and sharing God's love verbally as they live their daily lives. The church's role is to stimulate spiritual growth, encourage living out God's priorities, provide teaching and preaching that is clear and relevant, bring believers together for the experiences of fellowship, worship, baptism and communion, and express the Gospel and the Christian worldview. In order to present Christ effectively, the church must be flexible in its methods, approaches and programs, but continue to be faithful to the truths of God's Word that are the foundation of our faith. The primary goal of the church is to help believers reach spiritual maturity; numerical growth will occur because of believers sharing their faith, organized evangelistic efforts and the high-paced growth of the County. Only as we commit ourselves to wholehearted obedience will the full potential of Mount Hope Baptist Church be realized by God's grace.
